GODSPEED director Robert Saitzyk’s first feature, AFTER THE FLOOD, earned him a Grand Prize for Best Director at the 2002 Rhode Island International Film Festival. Robert’s second feature film, WHITE OF WINTER was an official selection to the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. Robert also works as a producer, editor and post-production supervisor.

GODSPEED is an intense, dramatic thriller set in the lingering light of the Alaskan midnight sun.

Godspeed

“Godspeed” is an intense, dramatic thriller set in the lingering light of the Alaskan midnight sun. Charlie Shepard is a modern day faith healer, a man who claims that if you let go and believe, then his power to heal is very real indeed. Living a hand-to-mouth, blue collar existence with his wife Rebecca and young son, Charlie ekes out a meager living from his “healing” sessions. With his marriage failing, and an old drinking habit coming back to haunt him, his family is brutally murdered by unknown assailants for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Six months later, Charlie has abandoned his former life and the house his family lived in, moving through the days’ slow existence more like a ghost than a man. But then a young, mysterious girl named Sarah appears in town, and seeks out Charlie. She will become the link to his family’s killings and to the murderers themselves, ultimately leading to tragic, violent consequences for all. “Godspeed” is a film that explores faith, grief, and the dark, violent nature that may very well exist in all of us — where man is still truly lost and at the mercy of the Last Frontier of the great Alaskan landscape.

Twinja’s takes place in the Ninja infested communities of New Jersy! A laugh out loud movie that will have you rolling in the aisle!  After the death of their father, famed FBI agent Frank Benson by the Shaolin Ninja Mafia, Blake and Billy lead a lonely and now unemployed existence. Stuck at home caring for their mentally deranged grandfather, they have one bright spot….Karate class. But, after getting beat up by the class super jocks, Brad and Dave, they are laughed out of the Dojo! The two boys stumble upon a lone sushi establishment and there they meet their new Sensei, Tony Danza or Tonishi Danzai, who reveals to them an ancient prophecy. The twins are actually super ninjas and once their birthmarks are united, they have super strength and incredible Ninja skills. But the strength is hard to control and they and they must go through about two days training to master it.

What is Helios World Wide Productions?

Founded in 2008 by Alejandro Salomon and David Rusi, Helios Productions is an entertainment company which develops, finances and produces sophisticated and commercial projects in the $1,000,000 – $40,000,000 range.

The sole purpose of Helios Productions is to create high-quality, commercially viable films that are produced on time and on budget.  Helios has been working hand in hand with selected distributors, foreign sales companies, and talent agencies to package films.  Since opening its doors in April of 2008 Helios Productions has completed four films. It is our intention to continue at the same pace utilizing the business model that has proven itself in the past year .

The company finances films through a combination of private equity, tax incentives, soft money deals, foreign sales and negative pick-ups, and acquires projects only after developing an individual strategic plan, which focuses on financing, marketing and release elements prior to acquisition.

Review for Triple Dog @ Dread Central

And the award for most eye-rolling title goes to … Triple Dog! Taken from the common phrase “I triple dog dare you to…”, this new teen thriller found itself an official site recently, and some teaser footage has shown up online as well.

Quiet Earth discovered the official Triple Dog site along with the footage you can see below, which is more than likely the opening shots of the film. The film stars Brittany Robertson (Dan in Real Life) as one of six high school girls who get involved in a game of dare that goes way too far. Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Alexia Fast (“Tin Man”), Janel Parrish (“The O.C.”), and Emily Tennant (Juno) also star.

Triple Dog

TRIPLE DOG takes place in a small suburban town, where six high school girls play a game of dare that careens out of control, altering their lives forever…

The popular girl, EVE, is having her 16th birthday slumber party, when her best friend, the attention-hungry Chapin, arrives late and the party starts spinning out of control.  Content to entertain themselves with facials and pedicures, tomboy Chapin suggests they play a game of dare called, “Triple Dog”.  The rules are simple: everyone gets a dare and gives a dare.
Failure to perform a dare results in one’s head being shaved.  Whoever performs the best “Triple Dog Dare” by the end of the night wins a cash prize, their friends’ prized possessions and the ultimate respect from their peers.

As the night goes on, Chapin challenges each girl to take greater and greater risks.  The sweet, conservative friend Sarah is challenged to run across the neighborhood naked.  Liza, the outcast, is forced to spend the night in Eve’s brother’s stinky closet.  Nina pretends to have a seizure at a public restaurant while Cecily has to stage an attack on the principles house without getting caught. Finally, Eve is asked to approach the boy of her dreams, WHISPER, at the school party and get to “third base”.

We realize through the events that unfold that Chapin is holding on to a big secret.  She was there the night her former classmate, Stacy St. Clair, jumped off a bridge and killed herself.
No one knows what happened for sure, but everyone has a strong opinion.  Chapin is aware that some of her friends hold her responsible for her friend’s apparent suicide, and she is so defensive about the subject that it’s easy to see why.

And so, for the seemingly invulnerable Chapin, only her dare is left.  Maddened by the rumors that continue to swirl around her, she runs for the bridge that Stacy St. Clair jumped to her death from, and before her friends can catch up to her, she jumps off too.  And it is at the moment that Chapin puts her own life in danger that we finally discover the truth behind the secret that has haunted her.
